Life

Choosing each other everyday even when we don’t feel like it

19 years ago we were two young kids ready to take on the world, not knowing how hard it would really be but also how beautiful it would really be at the same time. Here we are living our vows over and over again, little did we know all the truth behind them. Choosing each other again and again even when it’s tough, even when we don’t want to. And raising kids together, growing our legacy and learning together how to create our own beautiful chaos. And 19 years later I still choose you. “I Heather take thee Steve to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy ordinance” Happy 19 years babe!

Marriage is tough but it can also be a wonderful thing. I am not here to say it always works out for everyone and it might not be right to work out for everyone but I can say I am glad we have stuck it out. I didn’t always want to make it work out. Sometimes I think it would have been easier to give up. We have fought hard to make it to 19 years. It has been a rough, beautiful chaotic mess of a life and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I am thankful for all the valleys of lows we dug out of and mountains of highs we have had to climb because it has made us strong and our marriage more wonderful, not perfect but yet amazing and we see things with an open mind and open eyes, truly seeing the beauty inside the mess . It keeps us going knowing that the many things thrown our way,  we will make it through.steveand I
