Saying “see ya soon”

On Sunday I said ” see ya next week ” to my firstborn son. This is the 2nd time this month I have let him go off without me. I’m am missing him like crazy. The beginning of June He went off on his adventure to Peru and now he’s off to diabetes camp. The difference with camp is there is no way to communicate except by good old snail mail so me and my other two kiddies and my hubby wrote him a letter to let him know we love him and miss him. I think it will be fun for him to receive mail at camp. It’s suppose to be an awesome experience with hiking, canoeing, swimming, camp fires, good food and meeting other kids who have to deal with the same issues he does with diabetes.
I am really looking forward to seeing pictures and seeing a smile on his face to hear all the great stuff they did this week.
Now my 2nd born is being invited down to our hometown to stay with some family the end of July and be gone for 2 weeks he’s a little reluctant to go with out big brother. He’s missing his big brother they have been attached at the hip since he was born. I’m thinking I will miss my cute chasers like crazy also. It’s fun to have my kids grow up but also very tough!!! ;(
I know life is too short and things can happen in the blink of an eye so we need to grasp every opportunity to enjoy life before something or someone is taken from us. This is why I have decided to stop being so protective and let my babies fly.
So it’s a Summer of fun for my 2 oldest now it’s just keeping my 6 year old busy! That’s a chore in and of itself;)
